Taking Cuttings From Prunings, Total Win-Win for Me

Ahh the subject of gardening crops up again .  Until a year or so ago, I used to have a lot more time for bobbing about in my garden, weed checking, lawn clearing and generally propogating as many plants as I could.  In fact my garden helper, who can only spare me 3 hours alternate Mondays, pops his head round the gate and in jest, makes a show of needing fore warning of what might await his arrival at the propogating table.   He’s used to my baby plantlets with roots trailing out of half filled pots of water.    He’s much better at potting up than me and he just gets on with it.  If he feels a specimen needs another couple of weeks, he’ll just not pot it up, lining any of these ‘not quite readys’ up by my back door for returning to the warmth of the nursery shelf in my ensuite!    There is something deliciously pleasing aout getting a pretty shrub to grow from a leggy specimen
